Primary Football Programme

The Y5/6 Primary Football Programme consists of a sequence of festivals where schools play 7 a-side mini soccer matches against other schools.

Part 1 of the programme will start in September and run on a Thursday after school throughout September and October. The matches in the league will be played over 3 nights, every other Thursday and dates will be confirmed when you are assigned to your league and venue.

The leagues are played at 3 separate venues – Greenfield Community College, Sedgefield Community College & Spennymoor

Schools can choose to play in Tier 1 (higher ability) or Tier 2 (middle ability) and will be split into groups and assigned to their closest venue and fixtures will be distributed on the first night of each group.

Part 2 – The Football Programme will recommence in March and schools will be assigned venues depending on results from round 1. Leagues will be graded – Champions League, Premiership, Championship, League One.

Girls Football Programme

The Girls football programme will start on Thursday 2nd May and run for 3 weeks and then conclude with a Football Cup on the 23rd May. The 2 venues for the Girls football league are Sedgefield Community College and Greenfield Community College.
